Open Citation Initiative
I40C - Open Reference Initiative
The
Open Citation Initiative I4OC is a collaboration between academic publishers,
researchers, and other interested parties to promote the unrestricted
availability of academic citation data.
The
aim of this initiative is to promote the availability of structured, separable
and open citation data. Structured means that the data representing each
publication and each cited instance is represented in a common,
machine-readable format, and that this data can be accessed programmatically. Separable means that citation instances can be accessed and analyzed without having to
access the source bibliographic products (such as journal articles and books)
from which the citation was created. Open means that data can be freely
accessed and reused.
All
journals of Asian Medical Press Ltd deposit a list of references to journal
articles in Crossref, allowing references to be distributed unrestricted to any
interested party through all of Crossref's Metadata Delivery services.
